Tyler Haymore

Memorial Scholarship Foundation

Meet the Directors

Cameron Haymore:

I am one of two older brothers to Tyler Haymore. I am married to Cody Haymore and we have four beautiful children. I graduated from CSU Chico with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management and have successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam. I work as a Civil Engineer, in addition to running the small business my wife and I own and
operate.

Tyler and I were by each other’s side for all of life’s hardships and achievements. We were basically inseparable our entire lives. I tried to always set a positive example for Tyler, whether it was graduating college, advancing my Civil Engineering career, or growing the small business my wife and I started together. I have always tried to demonstrate that anything is possible.

My goal for the foundation is to help encourage others to follow their passion, just as my brother, Tyler Haymore, did his. I hope this foundation can make positive impacts in recipients’ lives and in turn they are able to positively contribute to their community.

Kelly Staas

Tyler and I met at Chico State in 2009, where I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition and Food Communication from California State University, Chico. Soon after meeting Tyler and I became best friends and began dating in 2012. Tyler proposed on December 24, 2015 while visiting home from flight school at Eagle Vistas in Florida.
Tyler and I married on October 7, 2017 at a beautiful venue in Winters, California surrounded by our closest family and friends. I was beyond happy and so blessed that I got to marry a beautiful soul, and I am so honored that he chose me. I knew the first time I met him that there was something special about him. Tyler had a smile that could light up a room, a laugh that made his shoulders move up and down (which made everyone else chuckle) and a hug that could fill your heart.

A lot has transpired for me over the years. I am now a registered nurse, I received my nursing degree from the Yuba College Nursing Program in May 2020. In August 2020, I married Justin Staas and shortly after I got my first nursing job in January 2021 and we welcomed our first child, Harland Wayne Staas, in August 2021.

It was a goal for Tyler and me to pursue our dreams of him becoming an AG pilot and for me to become a registered nurse. My goal for this foundation is to help other individuals pursue their ambitions. My hope for the future of this foundation in honor of Tyler Graham Haymore is to make a difference to many people by helping them chase their dreams.

Aubree Haymore Smith

I am the proud younger sister of Tyler and our two older brothers Travis and Cameron. I am married to TJ Smith; we have an amazing son and another son on the way. I work as a Registered Dental Hygienist in Yuba City, CA.

I was lucky to have Tyler as not only my brother, but my best friend. Most of my favorite memories include lots of laughs with Tyler by my side. Tyler always encouraged me to chase my dreams no matter how out of reach they sometimes seemed. I could always count on Tyler to be there cheering me on. Tyler set his goals high and worked extremely hard to achieve them all.

I am honored to be on the Tyler Haymore Memorial Scholarship Board and to help select passionate, hardworking and goal-oriented individuals to receive the memorial scholarships. It is a way to keep Tyler’s desire to help others and memory alive in honor of him.

Terri Erwin

I am the proud Momma Bear of Tyler Haymore and his siblings. After life changes, I found myself a single mother of four very young children and a need to support them and myself.

While working full-time and raising my children, I returned to school at night to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. I was fortunate to have an employer at the time with a generous tuition assistance program, which helped relieve the financial stress of pursuing an education to better my career possibilities and future income potential. Through continuing my
education, I was able to achieve my bachelor’s degree, Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification, and progress in my career over the years from an Executive Assistant to now the Vice President, Human Resources for a manufacturing company in Sacramento. I would never say it was easy, but I can tell you, it has been worth every struggle to get my homework done, study for tests, and be diligent at work to earn promotions, which allowed me to provide for my family.

Through the Tyler Haymore Memorial Scholarship, in addition to keeping memories of Tyler alive, it is my hope that we are able to help alleviate some of the financial concern for others pursuing education to achieve their career aspirations.

Kyle O’Neal

My name is Kyle O’Neal. I own Alpine Roofing here in Yuba City. I live with my beautiful wife of 10 years, Lesley, and our 3 awesome girls, Carley (5), Whitney (4), and our little Molly (2). We all love to have fun and are always on the go! From house boating and fishing in the summer time, to snowmobiling and throwing snow balls in the winter.

The O’Neal and Haymore families have been very close friends for 20+ years. We’ve gone on numerous houseboat/camping trips together, family vacations, and many concerts. We all even took a trip down to Daytona Beach, Florida  in 2008 to watch the 50th running of the Daytona 500. 20 years together might not seem like a long time, but we’ve made a lifetime of memories that I know I will cherish forever.

Tyler was such a genuine person. He was always sincere, and I knew no matter what, he would be there for me and my family. He was always happy to see someone else doing well or bettering themselves. With this scholarship I hope to help other people, so Ty can look down and feel proud that his name is continuing to help others better themselves and reach their goals.
